12–16 pupils, two adults. We do not group by ability.
A child who struggles in maths might be the strongest writer in the room. Ability grouping locks that child into a label. We don't.

Classroom-based 11+ preparation for Years 3, 4 and 5 in Ilford. Taught face to face at Avanti Court, in small groups, by the same teacher all year. Year after year, most of our pupils secure places at their preferred grammar and independent schools.

⦿No online lessons. No recorded replays. No parent login to manage. The children come to the classroom, sit at desks, and learn in person. Every single week.
Multiple choice, creative writing, 11+ topics for Year 5. Creative writing and key topic areas for Years 3 and 4. We don't hide the marks. You see what your child sees.
Maths not offered for Year 3. Each 90-minute class focuses on one subject only.
Direct debit, pro-rata Sept–Jul. Works out at £21.50 per session.
Mr Patel taught full-time in London primary schools before specialising in 11+ prep. He knows the curriculum from the inside.
All classes are ninety minutes long. Children get focused attention on one subject at a time, not two half-finished hours. Maths isn't offered for Year 3. We focus on written English first.
Grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, verbal reasoning and creative writing. Marking is returned, worked through in class, and the approach is tuned for the exam formats children actually sit.
Fast-paced concepts, problem solving, numerical reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. Confidence under time pressure is taught alongside the method. One isn't much use without the other.
Year 5: multiple choice, creative writing, 11+ topics. Years 3 & 4: creative writing and key topic areas. Every paper goes home with the family. No hidden marks.
Our 11+ term runs September to July. All classes are 90 minutes, face-to-face at Avanti Court Lodge.

Register interest →Some centres ask a child to pass a test before they'll accept them. A filter before the work has even begun. We don't. Every pupil who joins Pedagogy Club gets a fair run at the 11+, at their own pace, with the teaching, time and support to grow real confidence.

Before he ever taught a child, Mr Patel spent his working years writing advertising copy. He worked primarily at Havas, with spells at Ogilvy and a brief earlier stint at Saatchi's, on brands including Peugeot, Citroen, Three Mobile, LG, Evian and News International. He knows how words are used to persuade, and how they stop working when they're lazy.
He then spent seven years teaching full-time in primary schools across London, including Avanti Court Primary, where Pedagogy Club is now based. He developed a deep understanding of how children actually learn best. Not theoretically. Weekly, in a room of thirty.
Today he specialises in preparing pupils for grammar and independent school entrance exams. His centre has moved from Bexleyheath to Redbridge, but the method hasn't. Year on year, most of his pupils secure places at their preferred schools. When he isn't teaching his 300 weekly pupils, he's kept just as busy by his two children at home.
We are a club, not a factory. I know every child I teach, every parent I answer to, and every paper that comes back marked. You won't find me pinning a marketing percentage to this door, because it shifts year to year. What I will tell you is this: most children who walk in here get the offers they were working for. The ones who don't are the ones I think about most.
Pedagogy Club Lodge is a purpose-fitted classroom building on the grounds of Avanti Court Primary School. You'll find it on Carlton Drive, on the Ilford / Hainault border, about a two-minute walk from Barkingside station on the Central line. Dedicated entrance, secure drop-off, parking on site.

Years 3, 4 and 5. Year 3 is English only; Years 4 and 5 take both English and Mathematics, taught on separate days.
A monthly direct debit mandate of £80.14, pro-rata from September to July. That works out at £21.50 per 90-minute session. No hidden costs.

No. All tuition is face-to-face at Avanti Court Lodge. 11+ content lands better in a real classroom with a real teacher, not over a screen.
Classes are capped at 12–16 pupils and supported by two adults each. We do not group by ability. Children learn best with peers at different levels, not labelled tiers.
Every six weeks. Year 5 sits multiple-choice, creative writing and 11+ topic papers. Years 3 and 4 sit creative writing and key-topic-area papers. Every paper is returned to the family.
